I want to open the cash drawer using the Generic/Text-Only Driver. How do I enter the commands in the Printer Commands fields?

For Windows95 and Windows98 you must use the “Alt” key and the numeric keypad to enter the decimal values for the commands. For each value, hold down the “Alt” key while entering each byte. Release the “Alt” key after entering each number then repeat for each consecutive number.

 

Open the Cash Drawer:

13 10 27 112 48 64 80

 

For Windows2000 and WindowsXP you must use the “<” and “>” as brackets around the hexadecimal values for the commands. Follow the format below exactly as you see it. Do not use any spaces or Windows will assume the space is part if the command and so it will be entered incorrectly.
